Hooked on Phonics Learning Recenzje App

I love the hooked on phonics program. However, we simply can’t use the app consistently. It seems that every couple of weeks the app starts glitching and crashing. During these times, the app is unusable. I am on the verge of canceling my hooked membership.

The instructional content is fantastic, however the app glitches non stop. Very disappointing.

My son is 5 and we were really struggling with homeschool, but once we introduced Hooked on Phonics, things have been so much better for us! He actually enjoys learning now and loves to practice reading. I can tell his confidence has improved and it’s exciting to see how much he has learned and grown in just a matter of weeks! So pleased with this program!

Hooked On Phonics is a great tool. While we prefer the workbooks, the app is perfect for learning on the go.

Every single day I have to do it EVERY DAY WHEN I AM ALREADY GOOD AT IT LIKE WHY

I never received log in information. When I got charged a second time I reached out for reimbursement they didn’t reimburse me even though it had just been charged. My sons did try the app after they provided me with user info, but it’s not engaging enough. It’s not easy for my 2 year old and for my 7 year old didn’t interest him.

Reached out to them numerous times, no response! Apparently after you leave a negative review does @ Hooked on Phonics Learning reach out to you! Despite my best efforts to inform them of the facts (prior to leaving a message here) my message went unanswered. I would like a complete refund! Anyone reading this, please do not consider this message biased, rather consider it an honest review. Go to Reading.com. That program is much better. I have not even had to contact them because my wife and I are so satisfied.

I cancel my subscription at the beginning of the month because my daughter is not into the app, but they charged me before I get to cancel . Yet it’s at the end of the month now and I still haven’t receive my packs, they charged me $20, until I speak to them they finally offered to ship my packs. So here’s the thing if I don’t speak to them they will not even bother shipping my pack and just keep my $$ . Just be aware !!!

Materials are well made and my kids love the app. I used hooked on phonics as a kid and it helped tremendously.

I learned to read using Hooked on Phonics and now my child is too. My child missed the cutoff for kindergarten. I knew I wanted to keep the learning going at home but I didn’t know where to start. We read every day at home but taking things from me reading to them and teaching them reading was a mystery. Hooked on Phonics was exactly what I needed to guide me through this process and now my child is reading at 5 years old! Stick with it if you’re wondering if it’s working. Suddenly things will click and they will make big leaps in their techniques and confidence.

I love Hooked On Phonics

I do Reading Eggs, The Good and the Beautiful, and other learning apps for my daughter on my iPad with no problem, but I have only been able to successfully use Hooked on Phonics for one session. It was a good enough experience with my daughter enjoying the content. The issue was the login. I wasted a good 20-30 minutes today trying to login, resetting my password and everything. I had to type in my birth year to confirm it was me more times than I can count to no avail. It shouldn’t be this difficult to use an app. I will be unsubscribing.

Wife purchased the program today. Download the app…it wont even open. 12.5.7 update on my ipad. Glad we invested in this….

This program took my son from a frustrated, reluctant reader to a lover of books. He went at his own pace and is now reading at two grade levels above his age and delights in the challenge of sounding out new words. He reads to me at bedtime now and sometimes even the cat when the mood strikes.:P This program is effective, the app is fun, and I’d recommend it to anyone with a young kiddo starting out.

I have a 6 and 7 yr old who are both in the earlier stages of reading: they LOVE this app! I almost never have to ask them to use this. They often just grab their device and the learning begins! I love it!

My son has improved so much and he’s gained a lot of confidence. He has fun learning to read and even sounded some words out on his own. He’s a little behind and is catching up fast. It’s worth it! Definitely buy.

Hard to find programs on app

We’ve been doing Hooked on Phonics for almost 2 weeks, and my little girl loves it. She enjoys more hands on things, so the worksheets are absolutely amazing. She’s learned so much already and looks forward to doing her “homework” every night.

I decided when my daughter was really struggling to read to try this out. I am so glad I did she is reading and doing absolutely amazing. I will definitely suggest this to any parent whose kids are struggling.

Such a useless app and website

At first the app worked well but since last year I keep getting error messages. I thought they were probably updating the system since other features have been added to the app. So I waited and still paid for the monthly subscription while not having any access at all. Here we are in the new year and still nothing! What an utter travesty and a scam? I’m not sure what to say because how can an app not work for almost a year while continuing to accept subscription fees and provide no service? The app even had the audacity to say that I was on a limited access free trial subscription. I have the proof to show otherwise. I’ve been a monthly full access subscriber for years! As an adult I’m livid but when it comes to my child’s constantly being let down by this app, it’s beyond what is appropriate say here. I’ve since come to my senses and cancelled the subscription so I doubt they will care one way or the other.

This app is great. I love it. The only thing I wish they fixed was that I can’t use the app if I don’t have internet. It’s a learning app so it should be available to the learner even while offline. Apart from that, the app is great. My son enjoys the work on there and he has been learning a lot. It’s great.

We have been doing the phone app and workbook for about two weeks now. My child is so excited and wants to work on it all the time! In such a short time, I see so much progress. He is now recognizing the first letter of words and he is so proud of himself. He says, “Mommy, I will be able to read in 30 days!” He was having problems with spelling his name and he just mastered it today. I can’t wait to see his progress in the next two weeks. This program has been a game changer!

I’m a huge fan of HOP…on paper. The app is absolutely terrible, though. It glitches most of the time (error 401 nearly every time I open it, and it freezes frequently). When it does work there’s no way to keep the kids on track and focused. So they either skip forward and get frustrated, or they go back and do stuff that’s so easy they aren’t learning anything. Save your money and buy the HOP workbook set instead.

Absolutely great! We’ve been using the app and workbooks for a couple of weeks now. The difference in my 4 year olds comprehension is massive! I’ve been trying so hard to teach her and get her to understand and memorize letters and letter sounds. Nothing was clicking!! Then we tried Hooked on Phonics! What a change!! She is learning so much and has memorized so much in just 2 weeks! I’m definitely amazed and a huge “Hooked on Phonics” fan!!

Unable to open. App crashes immediately after the loading page. Waste of money.

I would love to be able to choose which letters my son is covering as he struggles with a handful of certain letters. And I wish there were more diverse activities. We like the app beyond that!

Can anyone actually open this app?

My daughter has been using the app for 3 days and it has already freezed up twice. Tried to restart and uninstall and still doesn’t work. Wouldn’t recommend purchasing

This one star review is not for the content, the hooked on phonics program is fantastic! But the app is EXTREMELY glitchy, it closes randomly all the time and doesn’t save progress. It’s a shame because my child really enjoys it and is learning so much!

I wanted to use this game for my 3 and 6 year old and I wanted both to start reading and I can’t use it so that makes unusable

My baby girl just turned 3 in November and she’s picking up so well. This app, along with other efforts has helped improve her memory of the alphabet and phonics. She enjoys the videos, mini games, flash cards and books. She’ll be reading very soon.

This app has sexually content

I installed the app on my Apple Air2 running iOS 12. When I launch the app the progress bar shows that it is loading but then it just crashes. I tried all the common troubleshooting including uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting etc. Very disappointing

This program taught my son how to read. I love the curriculum and the workbooks that go along with the app. About 5 months ago the app stopped working. I updated it and contacted customer service but they never responded. I’ve been paying for the subscription since then because I was hoping that the issue would resolve itself with updates and time. I’m sad to cancel the subscription.

It’s very frustrating, half the time I can’t get it to open, just has the spinning loading circle! My son was able to play 1 game and then couldn’t get the next level to load

What happened since the update? It’s so frustrating on how slow it is. I deleted the app to download it again, and now I can’t even log-in! Tried the reset password so many times but still can’t log-in 🤦🏻‍♀️

Couldn’t recommend more! My kids love getting on the app! They are learning and having fun!

Since the app was updated you can not log in with any username/email. I have updated my password 3 time and still am not able to use the product.

App is unreliable and will freeze while loading

In case anyone’s wondering, their online ads are lies, there is no desktop app.

Can’t even get logged into the app with my child’s iPad using the login that I created on my phone. Have never had this issue with another learning app. Had to reset the password multiple times and now it has locked me out and there is no customer service available on the weekend.

I bought a lifetime subscription years ago that was later force converted to a month-to-month subscription but I’ve continued to use it because it does seem to help kids learn. That said, the latest iPad version of this is painful, starting with the “you must create an avatar” but the “create an avatar” feature is broken so you cannot actually create one and get to the only thing that really matters with the app - the learning part. This app and program has really gone downhill over the years and there are likely better options out there that actually work and don’t cost nearly as much.

Review after review says that the avatar is broken. The reviews go back to the beginning of September and the answer is still to contact customer service. If it’s been broken for 6 weeks, just FIX IT!!! Stop telling people to contact you. You’ve known about the problem for 6 weeks and haven’t bothered to FIX It yet. I will be expecting a refund of 2 months fee. This is ridiculous!!

I’m having a lot of issues using this with my daughter…I’ve tried existing/reopening the ap, and there are a lot of glitchy things going on.
