With the new update all my sons progress is lost and I can not restore my purchase. I had bought the full version a while ago. I do not want to buy it again.

The update stole my whole purchase. I bought it all before and my son was part way through. Are they asking me to repay for what I already bought. Extremely angry!

The app was great until I did the update. All of my kids progress was lost and I cant restore my purchases. I have tried many times but they dont restore.

With the most recent update, Im a little disappointed that the extra books in each level are not there, as well as not having the customized "My Words". We liked the extra books for extra reading practice and variety, and the My Words were great for practicing as well. I do like the updated format though, and the additional games are great and make it fun!

This Ap has helped all of my kids. It is fun and interactive. Also if you ever have any questions or concerns, customer service is prompt and helpful! Totally recommend!

As far as this interested parent was to download this program; parent quickly got bored of the length of the downloading time; and deemed as a quick gimmick. This marketing venture to purchase app was not on my radar and will not be until I see a quicker downloading time. Two thumbs down HoP

The app and program are great in helping my grade 1 up his reading skills to the level thats needed. One major issue with the app is the progress resets and completely levels show up not completed. Very frustrating when we pause in the middle of a lesson to find out we have to start it all over again. The young one feels disappointed after going so far to fall back. Epic fail on the programmers part.

Constantly loses progress and makes you start a level over.

Fun games, my son is enjoying learning to read, but app is glitchy and cuts out randomly

Im a former elementary teacher turned stay at home mom and I love this app! It has really helped my kids get a great start to reading by teaching the basics and then building on it. They love the games and get so excited when they are able to read on their own! I couldnt be happier with this app.

While I like the app overall, the words in the story are very close together. Because of their proximity, it makes it tough for new readers to know that they are trying to read two words instead of one long word. It would be nice if they could put more space between the words.

This is a great app that works. My daughter is enjoying this app. She is reading a lot better since using this app. I could go on but itd be more of the same. It works.

Watch out for these guys. I started a 7 day trial and decided not to continue it so I stopped the Apple subscription and uninstalled the app. When I uninstalled the app it charged my credit card. I now have to dispute the charge on my credit card. These kind of scummy practices are the worst thing about installing apps on your phone. I will not let them get away with this.

The font makes it appear as if there are no spaces between the words of the books. Very hard for beginning readers! If nothing else, they need extra spaces between words! Please fix ASAP!!!

Not that much more to say honestly, and now I have to give him the phone back so he stops screaming.

I purchased this app for my 3-year-old last year and she loved it. Now, one year later, she is reading between the 2nd and 4th grade levels. Obviously, we have been reading together through that time, but Hooked on Phonics was the right choice to teach her to sound out words and learn basic sight words. And we all love the Big Pig song!

I purchased hooked on phonics about a year ago. It was decently made, though kids did not like it a lot. After last update it requires me to pay 50$ again for lifetime membership and I cannot restore previous purchases or contact anybody. 50$ gone. Save your money.

I was one of those who purchased Hooked on Phonics a couple years ago, only to find it not working after the latest update. I called HoPs customer support, and within a few minutes I had the new update working. I can only comment on the first step, because until now, thats all hes been able to use. So far, so good.

I have this app on all my kids devices. After the latest update the app wont open. It shows a black screen then crashes back to home screen. This is on an iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1.2 (it cant get a higher iOS version)

Incredible! After just a few lessons, my son was sounding out words and reading a book ON HIS OWN! The songs are catchy, its fun to play. It breaks it down for kids. Plus its a huge confidence boost! Love, love, LOVE THIS APP!
